He was always the Brightest moon

December 12 — The Full Cold Moon
Sky watchers will be dazzled by an exceptionally high, bright, and large Moon. In fact, this Moon is 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full Moons this year.

This must be in honor of my middle sons 21st birthday! Austin has always been the brightest moon in the sky.  Happy Birthday SON!

21 years ago today on a snowy winter night was born my middle child. His birth was exceptionally fast, easy, and almost flawless. I remember when the nurses were cleaning him up, he was a dark shade of purple. His father kept asking”Is he ok” By that time I was a little medicated and just kept saying he is fine but he looks a little purple that’s all. I had no idea why he looked like a purple grape and was so happy he was here that I didn’t even realized there might be a problem.  Since he was delivered so fast, he took in a mouth full of fluids causing a problem for him to take his first breath. The nurses worked quickly to clear his airways, he then welcomed them by pissing all over them ( that’s my boy) then out came his first perfect scream. From that day forward he was a delight to raise, smart, funny and always marched to the beat of his own drum.  Austin has always been a  true blessing in my life. Through the years he has made me laugh more then should be allowed by a mother. His harmless antics have always kept me entertained. I love his free spirit and his uniqueness.
Here we are today 21 years later, how I wish I could go back to the years when he was just a small boy and re-live them if only for one day. I would hug him and hold him in my lap like I use to. Those years just flew by to fast!
Today,  I am watching him grow up to be a good man. He is learning about responsibility, working a full time job, and standing up for what he believes in. I am so proud of him and so proud to be able to call him son. I must admit him moving away from home was a tough one for me. I miss our late night chat sessions about life, but I look forward to the new things to come in life for him and can’t wait to share each moment I am able to.
Happy Birthday Austin I love you, thank you for being a wonderful son and always making me proud. Thank you for giving me 21 years of love and laughter ~ MOM
